On Friday, the grade 9s went on a field trip to the Calgary Zoo to participate in a Biodiversity program. Some time was spent in the classroom and they also had an educational tour of the Asia exhibits. 🐅 #STADrumSpirit

Last week, Mrs. Mulgew's grade 4 class took a field trip to Fort Calgary. Students were able to tour the museum, view the original fort walls, participate in an archeological dig, and see where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet, which has been a historical gathering place for thousands of years! 🚌⛏ #STADrumSpirit

In grade 9 Social Studies with Mr. Mulgrew, the students are studying 'Issues For Canadians' and within this topic of study the students explored the Charter of Rights and Freedoms; especially in regard to individual rights. Students were excited to have a class debate yesterday, which included research, prepared speeches, and an open class discussion. 📜👩‍💻👨‍💻 #STADrumSpirit

Ms. Heistad's grade 3 class was "Classroom of the Month" and enjoyed a pizza party yesterday! Thank you Boom 99.5 and Pizza 249! 😃🍕🫓 #STADrumSpirit

Our Grade 6 students are hosting a Mom's Pantry Fundraiser to support their overnight field trip to Edmonton, where their highlight is to tour the Legislature building! This fundraiser will run until April 30th. Thank you for supporting our students!

During the Easter Break, some of our high school students participated in a school trip to Greece and Italy! Places visited include: Athens, the ruins of Delphi, Capri Island, Pompeii, Saint Paul's and Saint Peter's Basillicas, the Roman Catacombs, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. Mr. Phillips, who organized this trip, will be planning a trip for the 2026 Easter break with France being the destination! 🇬🇷🇮🇹🧳✈️ #STADrumSpirit
