During this last week of school in the advent season, Anthony travelled all over bringing tidings of joy to our elementary students. From a collaborative art project to the music room, and reminding us of our gifts and talents, Anthony has brought joy in searching for Jesus this advent season. On Dec. 16th, Mr. Mulgrew's grade 10 CALM class went to the BCF to participate in 'World of Choices'. They enjoyed a day filled with inspiration, learning, and fun. This past weekend, Mrs. Eddy was in the YUKON for professional development! She learned in community with 20 other teachers from across Canada and explored the traditional territories of the Kluane First Nation, Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, the White River First Nation, Kwanlin DΓΌn First Nation and the Taβan KwΓ€chβΓ€n Council. She engaged with local Elders, Knowledge Holders, artists and researchers to enhance her teaching practice and own understanding of Indigenous Knowledge Systems, climate change and ReconciliAction. She is excited to share her experiences with students!! #STADrumSpirit
Congratulations to our top Terry Fox fundraisers who will be receiving a McDonalds lunch donated by Harper's Tire and the 3 winning classrooms will be getting a pizza party donated by Vintage! Our cross-country running team participated in Zones in Diamond Valley today! Along with Adam's 3rd place! (see picture), Levi placed 15th and Joe 19th for junior boys and all three should qualify for Provincials. Everyone did really well and ran great races!
